The Dòchas AGM will take place at Applecross Hall on February 19, from 7:30pm. All are encouraged to come along and learn more about progress and activities of the past year.

We would like to inform the community that Tery McCowan and Sue Groocock will be stepping down from their roles on the Board of Trustees. As part of this transition, we will be seeking to co-opt two new Trustees from the community. This is an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about our work to contribute to the ongoing direction and oversight of the organisation.
Details of the co-option process will be outlined at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), where further information will be shared and questions welcomed. We encourage members of the community who may be interested to attend the AGM and learn more.
Applecross Sports & Wellbeing Associaton Launches Sauna

Applecross Sports & Wellbeing Association officially launched Applecross Sauna on Friday 5 December 2025, supported by funding awarded from Dòchas.
The website and booking system is now live and the group is fully committed to promoting the sauna on social media, in print and though a network of swim and community groups.
It is a volunteer group, and all of the jobs to date have been done by the committee members. Going forward, however, there will be some paid work as the sauna gets busy as there is still much to do, and huge potential for more.
Things to come: tin baths for cold dunks; cold water outdoor shower; proper changing area; cleared and lit route down to the sea; chippings put down around the sauna to avoid slippy mud, and; pop-up events
